The very first point you need to consider is what pet you want to have in your apartment. Most of the people like to have a dog in the apartment because they will safe when having a dog around. But there are so many things you need to see specially the noise around you. Since dogs are very sensitive for the smallest noise either you have to be sure you live in calm environment or you purchase a dog who is generally quiet. If not you will be in trouble when your neighbors start complaining to the police. And utmost important point is you need to discuss with your landlord and if he permits only you can have a pet in the apartment.
Next point is you need to consider the size of your apartment and the size of the pet. Since we are discussing about a small apartment it is ideal to have a small pet because if you have a large pet, you as well as the pet will be congested and uncomfortable in the apartment which will lead the pet to be restless and damage your property.
When discussing the above point the next fact which comes to my mind is if you purchase a dog as an example generally dogs need to run around and play. So if your living in a small apartment there is no possibility for a dog to run around as it happens in a home garden. If you’re so persistent of having a dog you need to first consider whether you have the ability allocate a time from your schedule to take your pet out to the park or else you need to see a pet who is not into much playing. So you won’t have a problem of handling them in your small apartment.
Finally consider looking for other option when you are purchasing a pet because a pet is not only a dog or cat. You can consider purchasing a fish tank, rabbit, bird etc. these pet don’t require a lot of space and they can be caged so you don’t need to take them on walks or so on. And the important point is you won’t have to worry about the noise levels around your apartment.
